WebThe North Carolina Bartram Trail Society, now the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy (BRBTC), formed in 1977. Through committed volunteers and private donations, the Conservancy has since developed and maintained approximately 135 miles of trails (primary and tributaries) and seeks to recover lost sections. WebMost of the collection concerns the North Carolina Bartram Trail Society, but much of their efforts are coordinated with Bartram Trail societies in Georgia and Alabama. In addition to correspondence, the collection contains biographical materials on William Bartram, information on conferences and workshops, news releases and clippings, and maps.
